Biography

Dr. Heather Pederson is an Associate Professor in the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) programs within the Global College of Professional Advancement at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She is also the president of a K–12 school board, where she serves as a technology, curriculum, and instruction consultant, and contributes to several committees focused on school improvement and faculty relations.

At the University of Arizona Global Campus, Dr. Pederson works with PsyD students across all degree specializations. She has extensive experience chairing doctoral capstone projects and dissertations and has been teaching online PhD, EdD, and PsyD courses at several higher education institutions for nearly two decades.

Dr. Pederson has been part of the university system through its evolution from the University of the Rockies, to Ashford University, and now to the University of Arizona Global Campus, where she has served for five years. In this role, she teaches and develops courses, coaches faculty, conducts credit hour analyses, serves on institutional committees, and chairs capstone students. She finds the relationships she builds with her students deeply rewarding and views fostering their success as an opportunity to positively impact lives and communities.
