Kira Heske

The Learning Support team is comprised of the Library, Writing Center, and Tutoring support services. This team’s role in the Culture of Care at UAGC is to understand our students’ research and writing pain points and design our services, platforms, and supports to meet them where they are and provide them the tools needed to persist in their coursework and complete their programs. Our custom resources, expert guidance in curriculum development, and direct student-facing supports are driven by our goal to provide each student with the foundational research and writing skills needed to succeed in their educational goals and beyond.

As the Senior Manager of the Learning Support team, Kira Heske oversees the Library, Writing Center, and Tutoring supports provided to the UAGC community. She is passionate about leading a team of librarians and writing consultants dedicated to ensuring students have access to quality learning support and services. Kira holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and a Master of Arts degree in English from San Diego State University.
