Looking for career motivation, real talk, and a supportive space to grow? You're not alone, and now, there's a community at the University of Arizona Global Campus that’s just for you: Hope & Hustle.

Hope & Hustle is a new community focused on empowering students to connect, learn, and grow together. Let’s dive into Hope & Hustle and why it’s a great resource for those navigating today’s fast-paced, ever-evolving professional landscape.

What is Hope & Hustle?

Hope & Hustle is a vibrant, career-focused networking group built for job seekers and career changers at UAGC. Whether you're perfecting a resume, preparing for interviews, or exploring new fields, this community is here to help you navigate it all with optimism and determination. It's the perfect place to share tips, drop resources, ask questions, and celebrate career wins, both big and small.

“Job searching is already exhausting and isolating, but especially so when we’re remote and doing everything online,” says UAGC Career Advisor Nicole Methven. “What excites me most about this community is the opportunity to foster genuine connection, collaboration, and encouragement among people who are navigating similar challenges and striving toward meaningful goals.”

Who Started Hope & Hustle?

UAGC Career Services was inspired to create Hope & Hustle as a space where students and alumni could connect beyond the classroom through shared career goals, struggles, and wins. It's a community for students, by students, centered around real voices and real support.

“We created Hope and Hustle for job seekers to uplift and support one another through the often-challenging job search process,” explains Rebecca Davis, UAGC Career Services Manager. “Searching for a job isn’t always fun; it can be discouraging and exhausting at times. This community was built to celebrate wins, share insider tips, and stay connected to upcoming UAGC Career Services events. It’s all about building an empowering, encouraging network of people who are hustling toward their goals together.”

How Can You Join?

You can join right now! Hope & Hustle launched in Summer 2025 and is already growing with active members. There’s no wrong time to join; just jump in when you’re ready to get inspired, feel supported, and start hustling toward your goals.

Join the community on UAGC Connect. Just search for Hope & Hustle under Clubs & Communities in the Connect tab. While you're there, check your preferences to get updates:
Go to My Preferences > Notifications > Discussion Posts and make sure you’re set to stay in the loop.

Why Should You Join Hope & Hustle?

Career growth doesn’t happen in isolation. Hope & Hustle exists to build confidence, spark motivation, and encourage momentum. Students who engage with career support and peer communities are more likely to meet their goals and feel equipped to handle whatever comes next.

“Before Hope & Hustle, the two main options for receiving career information were UAGC Career Services or Handshake,” explains UAGC Student Success Assistant Chivas Mathews, who is also pursuing an operations management and analysis degree at UAGC. “Both are great options but have limitations. Career Services and Handshake do not have a platform that allows for open dialogue between students. The Hope & Hustle community allows students to engage with UAGC Career Services and share their experiences and opportunities. At UAGC, students have a plethora of work experience, and Hope & Hustle is a place where it can be shared so other Wildcats have another resource to learn and grow.”

How Can You Get Involved?

Whether you're just starting or starting over, Hope & Hustle is your space to grow. We’re so excited to welcome you to the community. Let’s do this together! Start now:
