Biography
Nikki is a seasoned professional with nearly a decade of experience supporting students with diverse abilities. She specializes in digital accessibility, academic accommodations, and holistic student support, particularly for at-risk, disabled, and military-connected students. In her current role at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), Nikki manages a caseload of students, providing culturally responsive counseling and eliminating barriers to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.
Previously, at Mt. San Antonio Community College and Ashford University, Nikki focused on developing retention strategies, enhancing advising processes through collaboration with faculty and university departments, and post program outcomes.
Her expertise in counseling and higher education is further strengthened by certifications in areas such as Improving Campus Access from the National Deaf Center, disability awareness, Title IX, wellness promotion, behavioral health, military competence, and mental health first aid. With a Master of Science in Counseling, a concentration in College Counseling and Student Services, and an unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive academic environments, Nikki is passionate about helping all students thrive in higher education.
