Biography
Laurie Tess is an associate faculty member for the UAGC in Early Childhood. She has 39 years of experience in education, including daycare owner/director, elementary school teacher, reading specialist, and multilingual teacher. She is passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and culturally aware classrooms for children of all ages that allow them to thrive in a respectful environment. Laurie loves traveling with her husband, children, and grandchildren, boating, reading, and doing yoga in her spare time. She is a certified yoga instructor and believes that even our youngest students can benefit from mindfulness and movement. She has lived in Southeastern Wisconsin all her life and is a die-hard Packer's fan.
