KOT 101 Introduction to Kotlin

3 Credits

In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of the Kotlin programming language. Kotlin is used in mobile application development, game development, web development, and Data Science. Topics will include Kotlin’s architecture, data types, variables, operators, and functions.

ION 100 Introduction to Ionic

3 Credits

In this course, students will examine the fundamentals of the Ionic framework. Ionic is an open-source user interface toolkit used to create mobile applications by using web technologies to integrate with other frameworks. Topics will include Ionics’s user interface components, hybrid and native mobile apps, and Ionic development environments.

INT 306 Introduction to JavaScript Programming

3 Credits

This course introduces students to advanced programming with JavaScript. Students will learn about the syntax of JavaScript commands and operators, including variables, arrays, functions, and event handlers. In this course, students will apply concepts and features of object-oriented programming. Prerequisite: CST 301.

HSM 430 Security Typologies

3 Credits

This course provides for analysis of some of the major types of security. Students will explore the concept of human security, including facets and applications. Students will also examine some environmental threats and challenges associated with environmental security. Cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities will also be analyzed with a particular focus on critical infrastructure systems.

HIM 215 Introduction to Health Information Management

3 Credits

This course explores the health information management profession from an educational and ethical perspective and examines foundational elements for managing patient health data, including health record content, structure, and standards, health information management departmental functions, and technologies used for managing health information.

HHS 445 Case Management in the Human Services

3 Credits

This course introduces students to the roles and functions of a case manager in human services. This course teaches students skills needed to become effective, culturally competent case managers. Students will learn to assess client needs, develop treatment plans, assess community resources, make referrals, and document service delivery.
