Debra L. Lawrence

Debra L. Lawrence has over 45 years of experience in early care and education. She presents workshops and seminars at the international, national, state, and local level. She has held leadership positions in the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children, culminating in serving as the organization's President. Debra served four years on the governing board of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She is currently the President of the International Play Association, USA affiliate. Debra is an associate professor in teacher preparation programs at Delaware County Community College, holds a master's and a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, is a certified Play Coach, Certified Trauma Competent Professional, and certified Pre-K- 4th-grade teacher.
